One small favour
Bomboniere, or wedding favours, may have been something you hadn’t even thought about before it came to planning your wedding. Or, you might be full to the brim of ideas on exactly what treat your guests would receive on your big day.
Tradition stated that guests received five sugared almonds symbolising health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. These days, it’s up to you what you choose to give your guests, and the options really are endless.
Many couples choose the home-made option to add a personal touch to their gift, whether it’s an artistic marvel or handi-craft, a jar of the famous family home-made jam, a mix CD of your wedding songs or a personalised bottle of beer or wine.
Or perhaps you want to indulge your sweet tooth with a delicious lolly buffet. Personalise small noodle boxes or paper bags and allow guests to choose from a selection of yummy treats. Rock candy featuring the names of the bride and groom are also a cute and tasty idea, or perhaps a small wedding cupcake encased in a clear box wrapped with ribbon.
If you’ve chosen a very definite theme, for example golf, the beach or travelling, try and incorporate this into your bomboniere. Give guests an item from a particular country, whether it’s a popular delicacy or a handmade trinket; personalise a golf ball or beautiful beach shell.
The limits are only what your imagination reach, so think outside the ribbon-tied box and come up with something your friends and family will love to take home and cherish.

Weddings at Tiffany’s
Tiffany blue is one of those colours so classic that the mere mention of its name conjurs up images of elegance and style. It is timeless and looks incredible against a white or black bakdrop.

Stationery style!
Every wedding begins with an invitation. Your wedding invitation is a small glimpse into what your big day has in store, which is why it is important to make a special first impression. There is some beautiful wedding stationery available, but in particular we love the ecclectic variety that stationery guru Cristina Re has to offer. We love the pretty patterns and the gorgeously clever designs that you can find in her range. You’d certainly be able to find something suitable for your chosen wedding theme with the vast range to choose from! There are also fun DIY oppotunities for brides who want to get a little bit creative!
Pop into a Cristina Re store today or take a look at the collections on her website.

Angela Marcuccio Couture
If you’re still gown searching, Angela Marcuccio is one of Melbourne’s most experienced couturiers. A designer with true artistic flair, her feminine and romantic gown designs are beautifully constructed using exquisite silks and laces. Gorgeous embellishments like couture flowers, feathers and beading are used in a chic and stylish way so the gowns are never too ornate but still have that luxurious detail.
I have shared a few of our favourites here for you and if this gets you all inspired to visit her store in Glen Iris, you can also check out more gowns actually moving and sashaying on the models. A rather romantic video was recently created to showcase her collection.
Enjoy your gown browsing!

Quirky love
We love this wedding for its creative flair and quirky style. The oh-so-cool couple are Cassie and Paul Voge, and we just love how they turned simple into stylish in such a seemingly effortless way.
The theme for this wedding was an evening picnic in the woods, and Cassie and Paul planned every element themselves. They decorated the gallery where they wed with gathered leaves and pinecones, and Cassie arranged daffodils and jonquils in jars and antique glasses. Meanwhile, Paul put together a photomontage with pictures of the couple as kids, teenagers and adults. The beautiful photography was done by Jonas Peterson.
A very inspiring and cute wedding!
