Marrying Missioni
In a whimsical, frothy gown designed by herself, Margerita Missioni wed her beau Eugenio Amos on June 23rd in a traditional ceremony in Brunello, Italy.
The ceremony was followed by a colourful Moroccan-inspired reception, which included beautifully patterned cushions scattered on the grass and a giant heart-shaped cake covered in fresh raspberries.
Margerita exuded a chic, gypsy look, with her pretty, elegant elegant design made from flower-embellished Missoni silk and voluminous organza sleeves. The bride wore her hair in girly braids, knotted atop her head. The look was completed with a tiara and flat, silver gladiator sandals.
Throughout the gypsy-themed wedding guests were entertained by a gypsy band, travelling acrobats and a fortune-teller.
A lovely day indeed.

A fairytale wedding brought to life
Looking radiant in a stunning white drop-waist gown embellished with Swarovski crystals, Renee walked down the aisle at St James Anglican Church in Menangle, New South Wales, to Anastasia and Eros’ I Belong To You. The couple had a traditional service, adding their own personal touches by dancing out of the church to Chris Brown’s Forever and releasing two white doves outside.
The reception was held at the Harrington Grove Country Club with a classic and elegant theme, coincided with a black, white and crystal colour scheme. The couple hired event stylist Sheree from She Designs Events to create a fairytale reception room. “Seeing the room transformed into the most amazing reception room ever – words cannot describe it! I cried when I saw it on the day, it just blew both of us away.”
Chandelier candelabras sparkled while guests enjoyed a two-course meal, followed by the couples four-tier mud cake – coated in white icing and decorated by black ribbon, a crystal brooch and topped with crystal initials J and R.
The party continued well in to the evening, with guests dancing to DJ Rob Brizz. “The night went so fast, Jason and I never left the dance floor. There was so much love going around on our wedding day, it was definitely the best day of our lives!”, said Renee.

Put the ‘you’ in your day!
One of the most important rules when summoning up ideas for your wedding day theme is to remember that it should always be a reflection of you, your tastes, your hobbies, your interests and your style. Personalising your theme and your decorations is easy when you keep these things in mind. It’s the finishing touches that you can play around with and add those extra bits and pieces that reflect you as a couple – it’s always in the finer detail. Whether it’s your table names, your cake toppers, your bomboniere or your guest book, you can make these theming elements completely yours. A recent trend for couples is to name their guests tables after countries in which they have visited that may hold sentimental value to them. Another great idea is to find cake toppers that complement your interests – whether you’re avid nature lovers or total sports fanatics, this is a great way to weave in some more of ‘you’ into your decorations. Theming your wedding is fun, so make sure you sit down as a couple and brainstorm together!

Hot bridal fashion at the 2012 Melbourne Bride Wedding Expo
The expo came to a standstill during the catwalk shows at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm each day, when every seat in the house was taken and onlookers crowded around the runway to get a glimpse of the latest bridal fashions. With the gorgeous models flouncing down the runway in some exquisite gowns, the crowds were always entertained and inspired.
Flowing skirts and lavish embellishments shone through as the two biggest trends, as Mariana Hardwick, Mathieu Salem, Baccini & Hill, Luci di Bella and JASONGRECH White all wowed audiences with intricate detailing, glitzy crystals and pearls, feminine lace and billowing layers of fabrics. Classy lingerie from Bellechasse, chic resortwear from Cadarra and gorgeous bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride dresses from Living Silk were other highlights of the show.
